Geography

Historical evolution

Shicheng was built in the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, and the site still exists. CIREN temple in Dayu town was built in the fourth year of Tongzhi in the Qing Dynasty (1865). It is located in the campus of Dayu middle school in Dayu Town, Yangqu county. It is located in the north and south, with a layout of two entrances, covering an area of 1688 square meters. There are 8 existing buildings and 3 remains. Taking Guodian as the boundary, a courtyard with North and south entrance was formed. From south to north, the central axis is Shanmen, Guodian and houdian. The two wings of the mountain gate are bell and drum towers, which are arranged in a shape from east to west with the mountain gate. In the East and west of toujin courtyard, there are two hard hilltop wing houses and two ruins. There are three wide rooms and three deep rooms in the East and one wing room in the West. The architectural form of the remains of CIREN temple is special, with unique style, local structure and economical materials.
