Mengyou town

Mengyou town is located in the west of Fengqing County, 39 kilometers away from Fengqing County. It is adjacent to Fengshan Town in the East, Sanchahe town and Yingpan Town in the south, Mengtong town and Wenquan Town in Changning County in the west, and Dasi town in the north. It covers an area of 385.78 square kilometers. On June 28, 2002, the township was set up and the township was merged on October 20, 2005. Mengyou is the transportation hub of Fengqing, which goes to Changning and Baoshan in the north, Yongde in the west, Yunxian in the South and Lincang in the West. It is the bridge and link between Fengqing County and Changning County.

Geography and climate

The terrain of the whole town is high in the northeast and low in the southwest. The highest altitude in the town is 2581m in dagantang mountain in the north, and the lowest altitude is 1208m in Xiaohekou of papaya tree, with a relative elevation difference of 1370m. The town government is located in Mengyou street, 1496 meters above sea level. The annual average temperature is 16.2c0, and the average annual rainfall is 1307mm, which is a mild monsoon climate. Shundian river passes through the territory from northwest to Southeast, yunbao highway runs through it, and bianwu line and Xiying line run through the whole town.

There are many rivers in the territory, rich in water resources. Shundian River (Mengyou River) has the largest flow, with a transit length of 28 km. The main tributaries are Wuma River, Lida River, egg village river, Wangjia River, Guangshan River, Xiaobai River, etc.

The main food crops are corn, rice, wheat, beans, buckwheat, etc.; the main economic crops are tea, sugarcane, pickled walnut, rapeseed, potato, vegetables, etc. Rural economic income mainly comes from grain, tea, livestock, sugarcane, labor export, transportation and so on. In 2002, the total rural economic income of the whole town was 50.65 million yuan, the total grain output was 15.7702 million kg, the per capita net income of farmers was 850.6 yuan, and the per capita share of grain was 361 kg. Dahuaqiao historic site

Ancient post plum

It is one of the ten sceneries in shunning (Fengqing). According to the records of the old annals, "the post house is tin lead, 80 miles northwest of the city. There are several ancient plum trees in the old time. They are cold and fragrant. If you can meet an emissary and the moon spirit floats, you can present them to huaidong." Zhang Weimian, a member of Ganzhou Prefecture in Jiangxi Province, lived in thousands of households. In the 48th year of Kangxi (1709), Li Wenyuan, the governor of shunning (Jiansheng of Manchuria), wrote a poem with seven rhythms: shidenghansha, the ancient road is inclined, and plum blossom spots reflect Huanghua. Guanyin Temple

It was built in 1785 in the 50th year of Qianlong reign of Qing Dynasty. It is located in the Dazhai village of today's Mengyou village. It is divided into two courtyards, with an area of about three mu. According to the 70 or 80 year old man, there are moon pool, weeping willows, two cypress trees and stone tiger guarding the Mountain Gate in the front yard. There are lotus flowers in the moon pool and a Calligonum jujube on the bank. The scenery is very quiet. After entering the second gate, there is a couplet of "the first step is to be optimistic and knowledgeable, and the second step is to play the music of the bosom friend. The couplet is carved with beams and painted buildings. The statue of Guanyin sits on the lotus stand, and the large and small Buddha statues stand on both sides. There are evergreen, osmanthus, citron and HuangGuo in the courtyard The scenery is pleasant and people forget to return. In those days, incense was very popular. Today, the place name here is still called Guanyin temple, but the landscape is no longer there.

Dadianshan: four hundred years ago, shunning mansion planned to move its city to the Dazhai village of Mengyou village, and today's dadianshan was chosen as the place to build the Jade Emperor's hall. At that time, all the wood needed for building the hall was ready. Later, because the mansion site stopped moving, the site was retained, and it is still in use today.
