Luping town of Fuquan city is located in the northeast of Fuquan city. It is formed by the merging of the original Luping, tisong and Lishan towns. It borders Kaili City and Huangping County in the East, Longchang town and Niuchang town in the west, Fengshan County in the South and Weng'an county and Huangping County in the North. The town government is 19km away from the District of Fuquan City (in the direction of tisong), covering a total area of 368 square kilometers, with a total population of 50178, and has jurisdiction over 10 administrative villages There are 1 neighborhood committee, 194 villager groups, 69633 mu of cultivated land (including 25510 mu of farmland and 42160 mu of soil), and 1.43 mu of cultivated land per capita.

There are Han, Miao, Buyi, Shui, Gelao, Mulao and other ethnic groups living in the town. There are rich forest resources in the town, with forest coverage rate of 30.35% and woodland area of 167540 mu. There are rich mineral resources in the town, including coal, iron, barite and other minerals, mainly coal mines, with an annual output of about 300000 tons.

In July 2020, it won the honorary title of national health Township from 2017 to 2019.

Fuquan's only production base of Yuyan Qingquan bottled water is located in the Xiaoyan formation of Fenghuang village, which is the designated water for the second Guizhou Youth Sports Association.
