Gangbian Zhuang nationality township is located in the front of the moon mountain area in the west of Congjiang County. It is one of the 17 minority nationality townships in the prefecture. It borders Tonglian and Gangdong townships in Rongshui County, Guangxi, and Xiajiang, Yongli, Xiutang and Jiabang townships in this county. It is 68.6km away from the county. Township land area of 145.28 square kilometers, jurisdiction of 15 administrative villages. Although it is located in the moon mountain area, the altitude is relatively low, the climate is mild, the rainfall is abundant, and the resources are rich. Gangbian's xunsa and Gaoma's "tianyumiao" are well-known both inside and outside the province. The underground mineral deposits include copper, tin, gold, iron, silicon, granite, etc. it is the township with the largest variety of mineral resources and large reserves in Congjiang County.

Gangbian is the key area of ecological construction of the Pearl River in Congjiang County, and its natural ecology is in good condition. The township has a forest area of 163000 mu, a standing stock of 140000 m3, and a forest coverage rate of 71.5%. The three hundred rivers run through the whole Township, with beautiful mountains and rivers, beautiful scenery, simple and rich Zhuang customs, novel and charming. The "beautiful woman crying husband" and the "dog climbing rock" ecological zone, known as "small Canyon", are unique in longwangtang. Du Juan in full bloom in April and naked swimming in June form a unique landscape of Zhuang Township, which is known as "detached Gangbian". Gangbian's opening-up conditions are constantly improving. From the Yangtze River to Guangxi, the ring River highway passes through the territory. Every village has electricity, mobile phones and highways. The first stage project (9400kw) of sanbaihe small hydropower cascade development with an installed capacity of nearly 30000 kW is under construction. Taking advantage of the great development of the western region, the advantages and unlimited business opportunities of the border region are becoming increasingly prominent.
