Enlightenment town

Enlightenment Town, belonging to Jinping County, Guizhou Province, is located in the southwest of Jinping County, on the South Bank of Qingshui River. It is adjacent to Pinglue town and Boli, Zhongling and Longli townships in the East, Aoshi town of Liping County in the south, Guben Township in the West and Hekou Township in the north. It is 19.7 km long from east to west and 17.2 km wide from north to south, with a total land area of 197.8 square kilometers.

Brief introduction of villages and towns

By the end of 2006, it had jurisdiction over 24 administrative villages (now merged into 22 administrative villages), 126 natural villages, 232 villager groups, 5995 households and 24498 people. In June 2003, in the demonstration project of distance education poverty alleviation in more than 120 rural primary and secondary schools in the west of jiachengli foundation implemented by the Ministry of education, the enlightenment middle school was listed as the demonstration base of Modern Distance Education in rural middle schools. The launch of rural modern distance education project has brought hope and economic development to the poor and backward enlightenment town. With the central government gradually pushing forward the pilot work of distance education, since the end of September 2004, 30 receiving stations of modern distance education for rural Party members and cadres have been built in enlightening Town, including 2 information stations, 24 receiving stations of village primary schools, 2 receiving stations of village Party members' activity rooms, and 2 broadcasting stations of teaching points. The goal of "village to village" in distance education has been achieved. The distance education of enlightenment town has also injected new blood into the economic development of the whole town, showing a good momentum of development.

Historical evolution

Enlightenment, formerly known as Bodong, was established late in administration. From Yuan Dynasty, Ming Dynasty to the middle of Qing Dynasty, the town was under the jurisdiction of Longli and Zhonglin Yandong of Liping Prefecture respectively. After Yongzheng of Qing Dynasty, Kaitai County of Liping Prefecture was under the jurisdiction of the two officials. Jinping County was established in 1914, and Gaobiao village in today's enlightenment, juzhai, Shengli district and Dicha District of enlightenment town is under the jurisdiction of Jinping County, while Dicha, Bali, bapiao, pengchi, dihou and xixidian villages in Dicha district are under the jurisdiction of North District 2 of Liping County along with Longli Township. In 1941, Longli township was transferred from Liping county to Jinping County, and Dicha and other villages were transferred to Jinping County along with Longli township Screen layout. In 1914, the county implemented the League defense autonomy, and set up the biansha League defense sub Bureau, which was under the jurisdiction of the Fifth General Bureau of League defense (located in Yaoguang, Hekou Township today). The enlightenment area had administrative construction. In 1930, biansha township was set up. In 1935, biansha joint protection was set up. In 1942, biansha joint protection was abolished and Enlightenment township was set up. In January 1950, the enlightenment area was set up, which is under the jurisdiction of today's Enlightenment town and four townships of Guben, Hekou, Longli and Zhongling. In 1953, democracy was carried out. There are five townships in Xinjian, Xinhua, Shengli, Heping and Xinglong. In 1958, Longli and Zhongling townships were divided into Dunzhai District, and Xinjian and Xinhua townships were merged to build enlightenment township. In February 1992, the enlightenment area was abolished, and the four townships of enlightenment, Shengli, juzhai and Dicha were merged into the current enlightenment town.

Enlightenment town is a traditional forest area, is one of the key production areas of Chinese fir, known as "Shanxiang forest". For a long time, forestry is the pillar industry for people to survive. Since the Qing Dynasty, the high-quality timber here has been transported to all parts of the country through wuxiajiang River, Bayanghe River and later highways. From the late 1960's to the mid 1980's, Dicha took the lead in establishing Ximen collective forest farm, covering an area of more than 7000 mu. In 1983, it won the provincial people's government's award of "making efforts to plant more money making trees, and turning mountainous areas into big banks". In 1988, the first individual Forest Farm established with loans, afforestation of more than 2000 mu, was the first in the county. In November 1990, Xingqi forest farm, the largest joint-stock forest farm in Jinping County, was established. By 2006, there were 77 large and small forest farms in the town, with an operating area of 93862 mu, accounting for 46.4% of the total forest area in the town, becoming the main pillar and carrier of forestry in the town. In 2006, the town has a forest area of 224401.5 mu, with a forest coverage rate of 66.87%. The mountains and mountains in the town are full of green and dense fir forests, which are growing in value and profits like huge green banks.

Podong of enlightenment town is located 500 meters to the southwest of the government of enlightenment town (in the direction of zhemong Village). The flower bridge spans a 22 meter wide stream. It is a wooden building with two eaves hanging from the top of the mountain. The flower bridge is 48 meters long, 4 meters wide and 4 meters high, with a total of 18 rooms. The two ends of the bridge are connected by an octagonal hexagonal combination of eaves and roofs. Due to its unique architectural technology, the shape of the bridge is exquisite. Although there is no traditional art of carved beams and painted buildings on it, its simple and ancient architectural form will make you marvel that it is a rare wooden boutique building in the world. In the middle of the bridge, there is a hexagonal eaves Pavilion, about 3 meters high, with a sharp top. Fengyu bridge has a straight corridor in Chinese style, with half waist railings on both sides. There are thick wooden planks (FIR planks) on the bridge for pedestrians to cross the stream. At the same time, it is sometimes a good place for people to enjoy the cool, avoid the wind and rain, watch the flowers and the moon, have a rest and chat. Every summer and autumn night, young men and women of the Dong family near the enlightenment town come here to sing and fall in love. This is a "paradise" for young singers to show their talents and wisdom and sing in love. Yuanwang Bodong Fengyu bridge, whose natural posture is the towering ancient trees at the head of the bridge and the green hills behind, is an integrated landscape painting of Dong Township, which is originated from nature and higher than nature.
