Tailie town

Tailie Town, subordinate to Sansui County, Guizhou Province, is located in the southwest of Sansui County, 15 kilometers away from Sansui County, with a total area of 158 square kilometers and 14010 mu of cultivated land. The town governs 17 administrative villages and 183 villager groups. By the end of 2003, there were 6539 households and 25351 people. The Miao, Dong, Tujia and other ethnic minorities accounted for 84.3% of the total labor population, of which the Miao accounted for 38.5%. It is known as "the first gate of Miao territory in a thousand miles". It is one of the gateway from Hunan to Guizhou. National Highway 320 and highway 65 run through the town (zhaitou, Shangping, Tailei, zhaigun, zhaiba, Podong Village).

It mainly produces rice, corn, Pseudostellaria heterophylla, potato, rape and so on. It raises more than 200000 Sansui ducks annually. There are rich ethnic cultural customs in the territory, including zhaitou, the second largest Miao village in China, the ruins of the ancient battlefield of the anti Qing war, the tomb of Yang Changkui, an ancient anti French general, Jielong bridge, Miao folk garden and other tourist resources and scenic spots. In particular, the national culture of zhaitou Miao village is well preserved, with the original folk customs of speaking Miao dialect, singing Miao songs, dancing, wearing Miao costumes and celebrating the Miao Festival, The language, costumes, cross stitch, embroidery and customs of zhaitou Miao village are different from those of Miao people in other places. For example, on February 2 in zhaitou, the Longqiao festival begins with the slaughter of pigs and sheep by the fangs in the Miao village. The Longqiao Festival is held to pray for good luck and happiness. The next day, men, women and children wear Miao costumes. Gather to sing and dance for 3 to 5 days, Lusheng rolling, wood leaves sound, singing long, together into a sea of singing and dancing. The whole Miao village is full of people, singing and dancing, becoming a unique bright pearl embedded in the land of eastern Guizhou, attracting tens of thousands of Chinese and foreign tourists.
