Huangcao Street

Huangcao street is located in Xingyi City, Guizhou Province. It is famous for its rich production of precious Chinese medicinal material Dendrobium nobile (also known as Dendrobium nobile). It is one of the important highway transportation hubs in Xingyi City, and also the political, economic, cultural, transportation and information center of Southwest Guizhou and Xingyi city.

Huangcao street is the seat of Qianxinan Prefecture Party committee, people's government, Xingyi municipal Party committee and people's government. Since 2003, Huangcao Street office has been established, which has jurisdiction over 10 communities.

Historical evolution

Huangcaoba ancient town, whose name began in the Tianqi period of the Ming Dynasty (1621-1627), is famous for its rich production of precious traditional Chinese medicine Dendrobium nobile (also known as Huangcaoba Dendrobium). It has a history of nearly 300 years since the establishment of Pu'an Prefecture in the fifth year of Yongzheng (1727) of the Qing Dynasty and the establishment of Shicheng and Jizhen in the eleventh year of Qianlong (1746) of the Qing Dynasty. in the period of the Republic of China, it was first called Yihe Town, then Huangcaoba town. After the founding of new China, Huangcao street was established in 2003 after several changes. In 1950, Huangcao Town People's Government of Xingyi county was established; in 1951, Huangcao Town People's government was changed into Chengguan District People's government; in 1958, it was changed into Huangcaoba people's commune management committee; in 1981, Chengguan Town Committee was abolished and Chengguan Town People's Government of Xingyi county was established; in 1988, Xingyi county was upgraded to Xingyi City, and Chengguan town was divided into two district level offices in the South and the north of the city; in 1992, the people's Government of Xingyi county was established In 1993, the people's Government of Huangcao Town, Xingyi City, was established, and the area under its jurisdiction was still within the scope of the original North and South districts. In 2003, Huangcao Town People's government was abolished and Huangcao sub district office of Xingyi City People's government was established.
