Lantou Town, belonging to Jinsha County, Bijie City, Guizhou Province, is located in the east of Jinsha County, bordering Shatu town in the East, Changba town in the southeast, andI town in the West and Mukong town in the north, with an administrative area of 65.1 square kilometers.
During the Yuan Dynasty, Lantou town was under the jurisdiction of Yixi Buxue, where Shaxi and other barbarians filed lawsuits. In March 1992, the district was withdrawn and the township was merged, and Lantou township was changed into Lantou town. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in LAN tou town was 18164. As of June 2020, Lantou town has jurisdiction over three communities and three administrative villages, and the town people's government is stationed in Lanfeng community.

History of construction
In the Yuan Dynasty, Lantou town was under the jurisdiction of Yixi Buxue, and was sued by some barbarians such as Shaxi.
In the Ming Dynasty, it belonged to xiongsuozexi, part of which was disputed with Bozhou. It was once under the jurisdiction of huangshadu tuxun, and was still a local official system.
In the third year of the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty (1663), Li was set up and Lantou had its own jurisdiction.
In the third year of the Republic of China (1914), it was called "Da LAN tou", and the Li system was replaced by Bao Jia.
In 1924, dalantou, the Sixth District of Qianxi County, was built.
In 1927, Dalan town was built on the basis of bazaar with hundreds of households.
From 1941 to 1949, it belonged to Tea Garden Township.
From 1950 to 1952, Lantou township was built as a tea garden.
