Huachu town

Huachu Town, historically known as "Tianzhu" and "Chonghua", is located in the southwest of Puding County, Guizhou Province. It is adjacent to Maguan town in the East, Mugang town in Liuzhi special district in the south, Dayong town in Liuzhi special district in the West and Machang town and Chengguan town in the North. The town is high in the northwest and low in the southeast, with strong karst development and remarkable karst landform. Covering an area of 108.95 square kilometers, it governs 18 administrative villages and 1 neighborhood committee, with a total population of more than 57000. The town government is located in the neighborhood committee, 15 kilometers away from Puding County and 40 kilometers away from Anshun City. It is the political, economic and cultural center of the town.

In September 2018, Huachu town was selected into the demonstration construction list of strong agricultural towns.

Huachu town belongs to subtropical plateau monsoon humid climate, with obvious monsoon alternation, mild climate throughout the year, no severe cold in winter, no severe heat in summer, annual average temperature of 15.1 ℃, long frost free period and abundant rainfall. The town is rich in coal, magnesium, granite and other mineral resources.

Transportation and communication

Huachu town has superior geographical location, perfect infrastructure and convenient transportation. Pu (Puding) San (sanbanqiao) highway passes through the town government residence and enters Liuzhi in the West. Zhu (Zhou) Liu (Zhi) railway double track passes through the south side of the town. The 19 Village (neighborhood) committees of the town have realized the village to village highway. The communication in the town is convenient, all villages have opened program-controlled telephone, and the mobile phone coverage rate is 100%. The town is fully electrified, with 100% of its electricity and 100% of its radio and television coverage.

Huachu town's unique climate and soil conditions have created a large number of agricultural and sideline products: duobeigong tea, which is produced in the coal mountain and cloud shrouded Duobei area, was once regarded as a tribute in the Ming Dynasty. When Premier Zhou Enlai visited Guiyang in 1960, he praised the traditional famous tea of "clear color and sweet taste". Huachu is also known as the "hometown of tribute tea"; the 5000 mu ginkgo base in bogai area has won the reputation of "the first town of Ginkgo in Southwest China"; the agricultural products of Huachu Xinzhai, such as buckwheat cool Fenpi, Bantian garlic and jellyfish high-quality rice are also popular in the market. In addition, Huachu town is the largest rape planting area in Puding County. In March of spring, rape flowers bloom, which coincides with the launch of new tea. The best portrayal of Huachu town is that "ten li cauliflower flowers are yellow, and a hundred years of tribute tea is fragrant".
