Yangchang Buyi and Miao township is located in the southeast of Pingba County, about 12 kilometers away from the county.
The total area is 75.76 square kilometers, with 21900 mu of arable land, including 18700 mu of farmland and 3255 mu of soil. It has jurisdiction over 12 administrative villages, 82 natural villages and 97 villager groups, with a total number of more than 4760 households and a population of 18900, including 11800 ethnic minorities, accounting for 62.5% of the total population. Yangchang river flows from southwest to northeast, through the middle of the rural area, Yunnan Guizhou railway and Pingchang highway. The township is rich in natural gas, coal, iron and other mineral resources, and tourism resources. Changhe high yield area, one of the province's famous ten thousand mu rice dams, has been recognized as one of the first batch of "pollution-free rice production bases" by the provincial people's government. It is known as "Pingba granary". In recent years, under the leadership of the township party committee and government, the people of all ethnic groups in Yangchang have united in good faith for development and concentrated on construction. More than 80% of the township's communications and telephone coverage have been achieved. Every village has access to roads. The adjustment of agricultural industrial structure has begun to take shape. There are grey geese breeding, grass planting and livestock breeding, etc. maolipo industrial community has taken shape, and small towns are under planning. In 2003, the total output value of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and sideline fishery in the township was 28 million yuan, the total output value of township enterprises was 50.92 million yuan, the per capita net income was 1200 yuan, there were 3518 students in the school, and the enrollment rate was more than 99.73%. The economy and society showed a good development trend.
