Shamalada township is under the jurisdiction of Xide County, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. Shamalada township is located in the northeast of the county, 25 kilometers away from the county. It covers an area of 45 square kilometers and has a population of 3000.

On January 12, 2021, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved Liangshan Prefecture to adjust the administrative divisions of Puge county and other seven counties (cfgm [2021] No. 1): Luomo Township and bajiu Township were abolished, and the administrative areas of Luomo Township and bajiu Township were put under the jurisdiction of shamalada Township, and the people's Government of shamalada township was stationed at No. 102, group 1, Huoba village.
