Diluo township is under the jurisdiction of Butuo County, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. Diluo township was established in 1955, changed to commune in 1974, renamed Diluo commune in 1981, and acquired Diluo Township in 1984.

Diluo township is located in the northeast of the county, 56 kilometers away from the county. It covers an area of 112.2 square kilometers and has a population of 8000. There are roads to the countryside. It has jurisdiction over 17 village committees, namely, harmony, deer, friendship, Yizi, juesheng, zezuo, Diluo, Liukou, tunbo, Qiaobian, jiezu, geoshi, tundu, zhetie, Teji, liubi and luoha.

Diluo Township mainly produces corn, potato, buckwheat and rice. Planting peanuts, sugarcane, pepper, pear, walnut.

On January 12, 2021, the people's Government of Sichuan Province decided to abolish Diluo Township and establish Diluo town. The administrative area of Diluo town is the administrative area of the original town, and the people's Government of Diluo town is located at No. 427 Qiaobian Road, Qiaobian village.
