Hejing township is under the jurisdiction of Butuo County, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. Lianhe township was established in 1956, changed to commune in 1974, renamed Hejing commune in 1981, and Hejing township was established in 1984.

Hejing township is located in the south of the county, across the Jinsha River and Yunnan Province, 76 kilometers away from the county. It covers an area of 136.8 square kilometers and has a population of 5000. There are roads to the countryside. It has jurisdiction over seven village committees: Jing, Duoluo, xiongkuai, boguamo, feloda, Pingzi and sigagu.

On January 12, 2021, the people's Government of Sichuan Province decided to abolish Hejing Township and put the former administrative region of Hejing Township under the jurisdiction of Longtan Town, which is located at No. 45, group 10, Hongqi village.
