On January 12, 2021, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved Liangshan Prefecture to adjust the administrative divisions of Puge county and other seven counties (cfzm [2021] No. 1): cancel Wuyi Township and Langzhu Township, put the administrative areas of Wuyi Township and Langzhu Township under the jurisdiction of laguo Township, and the people's Government of laguo township was stationed at No. 42, group 1, laguo village.

Laguo township is under the jurisdiction of Butuo County, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. In 1954, laguo township was established, in 1974, laguo commune was changed, and in 1984, laguo township was restored.

Laguo township is located in the southeast of the county, 35 kilometers away from the county. It covers an area of 45.5 square kilometers and has a population of 3000. There are roads to the countryside. It has jurisdiction over five village committees, namely almazhi, laguo, Xiuguo, buwai and Weimu.

Township enterprises in laguo township have mining, grain and feed processing plants and mines. Agriculture mainly produces potato, corn and buckwheat. Plant peanuts and sugar cane.
