YUEWU township is under the jurisdiction of Puge County, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province.

On January 12, 2021, the people's Government of Sichuan Province agreed that Liangshan Prefecture should adjust the administrative divisions of some towns in Puge county and other seven counties, abolish jiatie Township, Zhulian Township, YUEWU Township and Caizi Township, and establish jiatie town.

YUEWU township is under the jurisdiction of Puge County, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. YUEWU township was established in 1952, changed to YUEWU commune in 1973, and restored to YUEWU Township in 1984.

YUEWU township is located in the northeast of the county, 77 kilometers away from the county. It covers an area of 47.5 square kilometers and has a population of 2000. It has jurisdiction over four village committees: Liluo, Nier, Yiwu and Teji.

YUEWU Township mainly produces corn, potato, buckwheat and oats. Plant pepper and pear. There are Gastrodia elata, Fritillaria, dangshen and other medicinal materials.
