Lead zinc town

Lead zinc town is under the jurisdiction of Huidong County, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. It originally belonged to Dafa Township, Huili County. In 1952, it set up Daqiao township. In 1958, it merged with Hongguo township to build Daqiao commune. In 1981, it changed its name to Daqiao River commune. In 1984, it changed its name to township. In 1986, it set up lead zinc town.

Historical evolution

In May 2014, it was approved by Sichuan Provincial People's Government (cfgm [2014] No. 15). Xiaojie Township, Laokou Township, Chahe Township and Shuangyan township of Huidong County were abolished, and their administrative areas were under the jurisdiction of lead zinc town of Huidong County.

It governs nine village committees, namely Xinliu, Lianhe, Yingchun, Zhuse, Luolong, Luhe, Baijia, Youfang and Tianwei.

Lead zinc town is located in the northeast of the county. It is 63 kilometers away from the county government, covering an area of 356.39 square kilometers, with a population of 44407 (2017). economic development

Lead zinc town is a new industrial town. Township enterprises have mining, smelting, building materials and other factories and mines. Agriculture mainly produces rice, corn, wheat, flue-cured tobacco, silkworm cocoon and apple. There are lead, zinc, copper and other mineral resources, there are provincial Huidong lead-zinc mine.
