Luchang town
Luchang town is under the jurisdiction of Huili City, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. Before 1950, it belonged to Luwu township. In 1951, it built Luchang township. In 1953 and 1955, Minggong Township and Luoguo Township were merged successively. In 1958, it changed to Luchang commune. In 1983, it restored Luchang township. In 1988, it built Luchang town.
In April 2020, Luchang town was named as the advanced town of Sichuan Province in implementing the Rural Revitalization Strategy in 2019.

Historical evolution
Luwu township was established in the period of the Republic of China. In 1951, Luchang township was established. In 1958, Luchang commune was established. In 1984, Luchang township was restored. In 1988, the town was established.
In history, Luchang was famous for its copper smelting and pottery production. As early as the end of Song Dynasty, it had developed pottery production. In the Hongwu years of Ming Dynasty, it was an important area for copper mining and smelting. In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, pottery production developed into green glazed products with Malachite as raw material. In the period of the Republic of China, it was characterized by large-scale development and production of earthenware products and handmade bronze ware In the production of bronze ware, especially the handmade copper hot pot, the market is prosperous, and the products are sold to the province and Yunnan Province. After liberation, a cooperative factory of Luchang ceramics was established. The green ceramic products produced in 1965 were well received in Guangzhou foreign trade exhibition and sold to 19 provinces, cities and districts in China, Hong Kong and overseas markets. In 1981, it was changed into Huili fine arts and ceramics factory. With the support of the state, provincial, state and county departments, it improved its production technology and quality. In 1982, its fine ceramics products won the gold and silver medals of the provincial tourism products, and then the Ministry of light industry and the provincial high quality products Award.
After liberation, Luchang copper ware factory was established. From 1979 to 1985, it produced 79378.4 catties of copper ware, processed 7483.45 catties of supplied materials, with a total output value of 263000 yuan. The town is also a distribution center for agricultural and sideline products and livestock. It is the main large livestock trading market in Huili County. The famous black goats in the province are mainly transferred to deer factories. The market street is about 1 km long, and the livestock and agricultural and sideline products trade are concentrated on the river beach outside the street. There are many power stations in the town, with a total installed capacity of more than 1000 kilowatts and sufficient power. In 1983, Huili copper mine was built in the town with funds of 50 tons per day. In 1985, it was jointly operated with Chengdu nonferrous metal industry company and expanded into a 150 tons per day copper concentrator.
The total building area of the town is 64000 square meters, with primary and secondary schools, hospitals, posts and Telecommunications branches and banks, and a 1200 square meter theater, the first large theater in the county. National Highway 108 passes through the territory, and several buses pass through the county and Tong'an town every day.
