DACAO Township
DACAO township is located in Yanyuan County, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, with an area of 368.88 square kilometers and a population of 4164 (2017).
On June 12, 2020, the people's Government of Sichuan Province decided to abolish DACAO township.
DACAO township is under the jurisdiction of Yanyuan County, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. DACAO township was set up in 1956, the commune was changed in 1972, and the township was restored in 1984. DACAO township is located in the west of the county, 70 kilometers away from the county. It covers an area of 368.88 square kilometers and has a population of 4164 (2017). It has jurisdiction over eight village committees, namely quguagua, shuijianping, dacaoba, saladi, maijiaping, Baiyangping, Hongyanzi and Shihua. The main agricultural products in DACAO township are potato and corn. Animal husbandry is dominated by cattle, horses, sheep, pigs and poultry.
