Chuanxing town

Chuanxing town is located in the southeast of Xichang City, about 6.8km away from Shizhong District, adjacent to Daxing Township in the East, Hainan Township in the south, Gaojian Township in the northwest, and Xide County in the north. The total area is 52.18 square kilometers. It is divided into Qionghai coast with Xijiao Township, Gaojian Township and Hainan township. The town has 8 administrative villages, 85 villager groups and 1 neighborhood committee, with a total population of 38939 (2017). There are 14176 mu of cultivated land, 0.6 mu of cultivated land per capita and 27500 mu of forest land. Cultivated land and forest land account for 30% and 57% of the total area of the town respectively. The main agricultural products are rice, wheat, big white beans, pigs, eggs, fish, vegetables, flowers, fruits and so on.

On December 13, 2019, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved Liangshan Prefecture to adjust the administrative divisions of some towns and townships in six counties (cities) including Xichang City (cfzm [2019] No. 18): Pushi Township, mazingyiwu Township and Donghe township of Xide County in Zhaojue County were cancelled. The former administrative areas of Pushi Township in Zhaojue County and Donghe Township in Xide County are under the jurisdiction of Chuanxing town in Xichang City, and the people's Government of Chuanxing town is located at 71 Xinqiao road.
