Dingbo Township

Dingbo township is located in the northwest of Xiangcheng County, which is connected with hot beating Township in the East, adjacent to zhengdou in the south, Batang County in the north, and a certain curved river of "Three Rivers" in Xiangcheng County passes through the border. The gully in the country is vertical and horizontal, and the hills are fluctuating, which belongs to typical mountainous areas.

The township government is located in Wanrong village, 108 km from the county seat, with an altitude of 3012 meters, and a total population of 1722 (2017). Covering an area of 693 square kilometers, it has six administrative villages, namely Brandao, Ronggong, kaicun, Wanrong, zelang and ordinary. The cultivated land area of the whole village is 1530 mu, mainly producing highland barley, wheat and other crops; Dingbo Township, as one of the three pastoral areas in Xiangcheng County, has a grassland area of 18667 hectares, which is the largest grassland pastoral area in Xiangcheng County and an important ecological barrier at the upstream of Dingqu river. With abundant forest resources, the forest area is 25286 hectares. The dense original forest breeds precious wild animals and various rare plants such as leopard, brown bear, deer and Swertia, and is also a rich place for the famous medicinal materials such as matsutake, Cordyceps and Fritillaria.
