On June 17, 2020, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture to adjust the administrative divisions of some towns and townships in Yajiang County and other 12 counties (cfgm [2020] No. 9): Jiaxue Township and geletuo Township were abolished and Jiaxue town was established. The administrative area of Jiaxue town was the former Jiaxue Township and the former geletuo township. Jiaxue Town People's government was stationed at No. 4 Jiaxue street, Jiaxue village.
