Yiniu Township
Yiniu township is a township under the jurisdiction of Shiqu County, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, with an area of 878.74 square kilometers, a population of 2418 (2017), and seven village committees.
Yiniu township was established in 1959, changed to commune in 1974, and resumed in 1984. Yiniu township is located in the middle of the county, bordering Qinghai in the north, 28 kilometers away from the county. It has jurisdiction over seven village committees: bangze, Maqu, yaqudulong, yaquduo, Zhuri, Zhalong and Zhalong xire. Cattle, sheep and horses are the main animal husbandry in yiniu township. Produce Cordyceps, Fritillaria and other medicinal materials, as well as Swertia, bear, Marmota and other wild animals.
