Puma Township
Puma township is under the jurisdiction of dege County, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. Puma township is located in the south of the county, 83 kilometers away from the county.
General situation
It covers an area of 302.52 square kilometers and has a population of 2155 (2017). It has jurisdiction over seven village committees, namely, Madong, kasha, Xindi, Rongda, Jizu, Zhentong and jiagenlong.

Historical evolution
In 1957, it was established as maisuxiang;
In 1975, it was changed into a commune;
In 1979, it was renamed puma commune;
In 1984, it was established in puma township.
On June 17, 2020, Sichuan Provincial People's government decided to abolish puma township.
economic development
The main livestock in puma township are yak, horse, sheep and goat. Handicrafts are mainly small farm tools, silverware and pottery.
