Xiaxiong Township
Xiaxiong township is under the jurisdiction of Ganzi County, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. Before liberation, it was under the jurisdiction of the Tusi of hormashu. Xiaxiong township is located in the east of the county, 35 kilometers away from the county. It covers an area of 40.57 square kilometers and has a population of 2765 (2017). It has jurisdiction over 10 village committees, namely, Adelaide, ranluoyi, ranluoer, xiaxiong, deqiyi, deqier, zese, daben-1, daben-2 and Dexi.
Historical evolution
Animal husbandry township was established in 1959, commune was changed in 1960, xiaxiong commune was renamed in 1978, Daxiong township was restored in 1983.
