NIBA township is under the jurisdiction of Luhuo County, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. Before liberation, it was under the jurisdiction of Zhu Wo and ZhangGu Tusi. NIBA township is located in the north of the county, 16 kilometers away from the county. It covers an area of 124.73 square kilometers and has a population of 2596 (2017). It has jurisdiction over four village committees, namely, Jiro, Naiyi, gasiji and Guxi.
Historical evolution
In 1956, NIBA township was established; in 1964, the commune was changed; in 1984, the township was restored.

The main agricultural products in NIBA township are highland barley, wheat and pea. There are wild animals such as Swertia deer and Chinese medicinal materials such as rhubarb, Cordyceps, notopterygium.
