On December 23, 2019, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved Ganzi Prefecture to adjust the administrative divisions of some towns and townships in six counties (cities), including Kangding city (cfzm [2019] No. 25): Tanggu township was abolished and Tanggu town was established. The administrative area of Tanggu township was the administrative area of Tanggu Town, and Tanggu Town People's government was stationed at No. 63, group 1, Tanggu village.

We have received the request for instructions on adjusting the administrative divisions of some towns and townships in 6 counties (cities) including Kangding (GF [2019] No. 57). After research, it is approved as follows to cancel Tanggu Township and establish Tanggu town. The administrative area of Tanggu township is the administrative area of Tanggu town. Tanggu Town People's government is located at No. 63, group 1, Tanggu village.
