Qiongxi town
Located on the eastern edge of the Qinghai Tibet Plateau, located in the northwest of Sichuan Province and the middle of Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, it is 450 km from Chengdu in the South and 640 km from Lanzhou in the north. The situation is divided into two major water systems: the Yangtze River and the Yellow River. The central chaneedle Liangzi is high-rise, forming a natural boundary, with an altitude of more than 4300 meters, the south of the mountain original, and the northern part of the hill plateau. The landform area of Zhongshan is 2865.13 square kilometers, the area of mountain landform is 1107.68 square kilometers, the original landform area of the hill is 895.94 square kilometers, and the high plain landform area is 2606.02 square kilometers. Qiongxi town is located in Hongyuan County, and it is the political, economic and cultural center of the county. The town has four administrative villages (animal husbandry Village) and 2 community promotion committees. The total population of the town is 11958 (2017). The town covers an area of 895.94 square kilometers, with an altitude of 3504m. In 2004, the per capita net income of farmers and herdsmen was 2043 yuan.

The grassland is vast, the water and grass are abundant, and the mineral deposits and forests are extremely abundant. The available grassland covers an area of 11.11 million mu and the forest reserve is 210000 cubic meters. There are many wild animals, including sika deer, deer, swan, Panyang, Sumen antelope, Tibetan pheasant, lynx, Banling, Himalayan marmot, Tibetan fox, gray fur rabbit, eagle, wolf, leopard, jackal, forest frog, Yellow River loach, thick lipped fish, otter and other rare animals. There are more than 500 kinds of Chinese herbal medicines such as Fritillaria, Pinus, rhubarb, Gentiana, Qiang, woody and Cordyceps, and precious animal medicine products such as Niuhuang, antler and musk.

There are abundant mineral deposits. There are more than 100 large and medium-sized peat deposits with an area of 49.92 million m2 and a prospective reserve of 1.6 billion m3. It has the characteristics of continuous distribution, large thickness, high gas content, high humus content, high heat generation, and easy to exploit (exposed). There are also 400000 tons of lignite and limestone.
