ABA town

ABA town is under the jurisdiction of ABA County, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. ABA town is located in the middle of the county, with an area of 511.34 square kilometers and a population of 11055 (2017).

In April 2020, ABA town was named as the advanced township of Sichuan Province in implementing the Rural Revitalization Strategy in 2019.

On June 8, 2020, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved Aba Prefecture to adjust the administrative divisions of some towns and townships in six counties, including ABA county (cfzm [2020] No. 6): cancel waerma Township, put the administrative areas of former waerma Township and former Hezhi Township Seergu village under the jurisdiction of ABA town, and the people's Government of ABA town is located at No. 34, qiatang middle street, ABA town community.

General situation

At the end of cheng'a highway, at the beginning of ah Jiu highway, ah Tu (Tang) highway and ah Rong (an) highway. It has jurisdiction over four village committees of zangfeng I, zangfeng II, zangfeng III and zangfeng IV, and one neighborhood committee of ABA town.

Historical evolution

Chengguan Township was established in 1958; Chengguan town was established in 1961; ABA town was renamed in 1982; zangfeng township was merged in 1985; on June 8, 2020, the people's Government of Sichuan Province abolished waerma Township and put the administrative area of the former waerma Township and Seergu village in yuanhezhi Township under the jurisdiction of ABA town. ABA town combines agriculture with animal husbandry, and animal husbandry mainly consumes cattle, horses and sheep. Enterprises have wood processing, leather, wool carding, carpet and other factories. There are places of interest such as gelden temple and mosque.
