Zangtang County governs the township. In 1963, it set up shangditang Township, in 1966, it changed to county state-owned pasture, and in 1985, it resumed shangditang township. It is located in the north of the county, 34.2 kilometers away from the county government, with a population of 2000. South Road transit. Historical evolution
The county was established in 1958. Zangtang, a Tibetan language, means "God of wealth dam". It is said that a venerable red Lama once came here to spread Buddhism. He went to a fragrant green grass dam with blooming flowers and settled down. He chanted sutras and preached and donated money to build a temple. The county got its name from this. In 2000, zangtang County governed one town and 11 townships: Ranke Town, Puxi Township, zongke Township, Shili Township, Wuyi Township, gangmuda Township, shangduke Township, rongmuda Township, nanmuda Township, gaduo Township, zhongditang Township and shangditang township.
