Zaiyang Township

Zaiyang township is located on the North Bank of Dadu River, 15 kilometers away from Shimian County, Sichuan Province. It borders fengle, Meiluo, Yingzheng and Yonghe townships, covering an area of 24 square kilometers. There are four administrative villages: Pingyang village, Mafu village, Nianzi village and Sanming village. There are 20 villager groups, including 7 in Pingyang village, 4 in Mafu village, 5 in Nianzi village and 4 in Sanming village.

Brief introduction of villages and towns

Zaiyang township was established in December 1951 with the approval of Sichuan Provincial People's government. It is named as Zaiyang township of Shimian County, and its residence is Zaiyang river.

At the end of 2004, the total population of Zaiyang township was 1764 agricultural households, with a total population of more than 5700 people. Han, Yi, Tibetan and Bai ethnic groups lived together, of which 97% were Han, 1% were Yi, 1.5% were Tibetan and 0.5% were Bai.

At the end of 2004, Zaiyang Township had 3823 mu of cultivated land, including 2008 mu of paddy field, 1815 mu of dry land, 1219.4 ha of forest land, and 0.7 mu of land per capita, including 0.37 mu of paddy field and 0.33 mu of dry land.

Zaiyang township is a typical agricultural township with unique climate resources. It is mainly famous for its high yield of "huangguogan". Meanwhile, the characteristic commercial vegetables are mainly lateral ear root and pond lotus root. The animal husbandry is mainly based on Angora rabbit and grass chicken. Among them, there are 4500 Angora rabbits in stock, 8000 high-quality Angora rabbits in stock by the end of the year, and 100000 grass chicken out of cage every year. In addition, the township is rich in clay and shale The resources are mainly distributed in groups 1 and 2 of Nianzi village, groups 2 and 4 of Pingyang village and groups 1, 2 and 4 of Mafu village. Six large and medium-sized machine brick factories have been built, with an annual output of 60 million finished bricks, accounting for two-thirds of the machine brick Market in Shimian County.
