Yingzheng Township

Yingzheng township is located in Shimian County, Sichuan Province, covering an area of 59.28 square kilometers. 10% of the area belongs to high mountain area, 60% to middle mountain area, and 30% to hilly area. At an altitude of 840m-2996m, it belongs to the eastern ancient land zone of Shimian County. During the Indosinian movement in the Triassic, there were local depressions, forming coal bearing shale formation.

In July 2020, it was reconfirmed as "National Health township (county) in 2019" by the National Patriotic Health Campaign Committee.

Jianghuoshan area belongs to late Sinian extrusive andesite basalts, and its horizon and thickness are not obvious. From Yingzheng to Xiaoxiangling, there are pyroclastic rocks on the basis of volcanic rocks. The strata in Yingzheng Township mainly belong to Cenozoic quaternary system and Proterozoic Sinian system, and the geological structure belongs to dayanfang anticline and Meiluo fault.

Valley, hills and high mountains are distributed, and the low mountain areas account for the vast majority of the township. The main rivers in Yingzheng township are Dadu River and its tributary bapai river. The precipitation is mainly concentrated in July, August and September, with more rain at night. The precipitation changes with altitude. The wind direction is mainly affected by the monsoon and topography. During the period of summer monsoon, the northeast wind mainly blows along the Dadu River Valley, while the winter wind mainly comes from the Dadu River Valley in the direction of Luding County, with the north wind as the main wind. Due to the large variation of the temperature difference between the peak and valley, the circulation of mountain wind and valley wind is significant. In sunny days, the wind blows from the valley to the top of the mountain in the daytime and from the top of the mountain to the valley at night, forming a vertical convective wind direction with an annual average wind speed of 2.5 m / s.

The main mineral resources of Yingzheng township are non-metallic minerals, and the relatively rich reserves are anthracite, granite and nitrate.

The total area of cultivated land in the township is 4986 mu, including 2551 mu of farmland and 2435 mu of land. Cultivated land is relatively concentrated, mostly terraced fields and terraces, with a slope of about 30 degrees and thick soil layer. The cultivated land accounts for 5.19% of the total area of the township, and the others are woodland, barren mountain, barren slope, river beach and other land.

The township also uses the project of returning farmland to forest and natural forest protection to plant grass and raise livestock, forest and grass intercropping to develop meat rabbit, sheep, cattle and Angora rabbit. The Angora rabbit breeding industry is booming, with the breeding amount reaching 11823. It is estimated that by the end of the year, the Angora rabbit in the township will grow to more than 20000, becoming the first rabbit raising Township in the county, and the per capita income of farmers will reach 150 yuan.

Yingzheng township is a multi-ethnic area, mainly Han nationality, inhabited by Tibetan, Miao, Yi, Hui, Mongolian, Bai and other ethnic minorities. The total population is 6121 (2017). The natural distribution of population is divided into hilly area, middle mountain area and high mountain area. The population living in hilly area and middle mountain area is relatively concentrated, and bapai village has the largest population density, while the population living in high mountain area is less.
