On December 11, 2019, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved Ya'an City to adjust the administrative divisions of some towns (cfgm [2019] No. 14): Meiluo Township and Zaiyang Township were abolished and Meiluo town was established. The administrative area of Meiluo town was the administrative area of the former Meiluo Township and Zaiyang Township, and the people's Government of Meiluo town was stationed at No. 126, group 5, Fangyuan village.

Meiluo town is located in Shimian County, Sichuan Province. In 2019, Meiluo Township and Zaiyang Township were abolished and Meiluo town was established. The former administrative regions of Meiluo Township and Zaiyang township are the administrative regions of Meiluo town. The people's Government of Meiluo town is stationed at No. 126, group 5, Fangyuan Village (the former residence of Meiluo Township People's Government).
