Donggugang town

Donggu port town, belonging to Anci District of Langfang City, Hebei Province, is located in the southeast of Anci District, east to Tianjin Wang Qing Wuqing Town, Wuqing City, Yangfen Town, Bazhou City, West Bazhou city hall two Li Town and Yongqing County Lan town, north of Ge Yu Town, with an area of 64.41 square kilometers, and as of 2018, registered residence population of 40225 people.

Before 1949, it belonged to Jinwu county (now Wuqing District). In the early days of the people's Republic of China, it belonged to five districts of anci county. In June 1961, Wudaokou commune was established in Wuqing and anci. In March 1984, it was changed to Donggugang township; in June of the same year, it was changed to Donggugang town. In May 1996, Deshengkou township was incorporated. As of June 2020, Donggugang town has 25 administrative villages.

In 2018, there were 29 industrial enterprises in Donggugang Town, including 4 Enterprises above Designated Size and 18 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

Historical evolution

Before 1949, it belonged to Jinwu county (now Wuqing District).

In the early days of the people's Republic of China, it belonged to five districts of anci county.

In February 1958, it was changed into madaokou township. In September of the same year, it was the Ma Daokou management area of the wharf commune; in October of the same year, it was assigned to Wuqing County.

In June 1961, Wudaokou commune was established in Wuqing and anci.

In March 1984, it was changed to Donggugang township; in June of the same year, it was changed to Donggugang town.

In May 1996, Deshengkou township was incorporated.

At the end of 2011, Donggugang town had jurisdiction over Taohe, Sibao, langerbi, Xizhe, dataoyuan, Nanpo, madaokou, songliukou West Street, songliukou East Street, chair circle, No.12, xiaomadaokou, nanzhangchang, dengjiachang, Guozhuang, Niujiao, Xianfeng village, Jianguo village, Xinhua Village, gaojiaquan, rongjialiu, wailancheng, Majiakou, yushuyuan, Donggugang No.1 village, Donggugang No.2 village Three villages, four villages, five villages and 30 administrative villages in mohangang.

As of June 2020, Donggugang town has 25 administrative villages. The town people's government is located in Donggugang village.

Donggugang town is located in the southeast of anci District, adjacent to wangqingtuo town in Wuqing District of Tianjin city in the East, yangfenggang town in Bazhou city in the south, tangerli town in Bazhou city and Lilan town in Yongqing County in the west, and geyu town in the north, with an area of 64.41 square kilometers.

Donggugang town has a warm temperate continental monsoon climate with four distinct seasons. It is hot and rainy in summer, cold and dry in winter, dry in spring and windy and sandy in autumn. The annual average temperature is 11.9 degrees, the annual average precipitation is 554.9 mm, the annual average frost free period is 183 days, and the annual average sunshine hours is about 2660 hours. The light and heat resources are sufficient, and the rain and heat are in the same season.

In the total population, 38662 people (99.95%) are Han nationality; 20 people (0.05%) are Hui, Manchu, Mongolian and other ethnic minorities; in 2011, the birth rate was 10.96 ‰, the death rate was 5.96 ‰, and the natural growth rate was 5 ‰.

In 2017, there were 38080 permanent residents in Donggugang town.

History and culture

It got its name from the town people's Government in Donggugang village. During the Tiansheng period of the Northern Song Dynasty (1023-1032), it was the lower reaches of the Yongding River (Hun River), and most of them were Hehan depressions. Only when the terrain was relatively high (commonly known as gugang), people built houses and settled here, forming villages. Because this place is to the east of Mohan port, the village is called Donggu port.

Honorary title

On July 24, 2019, Donggugang town was selected into the list of national strong agricultural towns in 2019.
