Yandao town is located in Yingjing County, Ya'an City, Sichuan Province. It is the political, economic, cultural and educational center of the county, and an important commodity distribution center of the county. It is known as "the first town of Yingjing". The town has flat terrain, convenient transportation, mild climate and four distinct seasons. The town covers an area of 13.6 square kilometers, with 3339.3 mu of cultivated land at the end of 2013 (including 2398.05 mu of farmland and 941.25 mu of land). The total population is 39061 (including 13941 agricultural population and 25120 non-agricultural population). The town governs 7 administrative villages, 47 villager groups, 6 community residents committees and 29 residents groups. Historical evolution

Since the establishment of Yingjing County in the third year of Wude (620), Emperor Gaozu of Tang Dynasty, Yandao town has been the seat of county administration in all dynasties. In Qing Dynasty, the town belonged to Qinren township. In the first year of the Republic of China, the system of Qing Dynasty was adopted. From 1915 to 1935, the town belonged to the central district. in 1936, the town belonged to the first district, divided into East and West joint protection. in 1940, after the joint insurance was changed to township and town, Chengdong town (1-8) and Chengxi town (1-5) were set up respectively. On February 11, 1950, after the establishment of the people's Government of Yingjing County, the two towns in the East and west of the city began to follow the old system and were under the jurisdiction of the newly established first district. In April 1951, kangbaojia established Chengxiang town with the first to the eighth and the first to the fifth guarantees of the former Chengdong Town, belonging to the first district. It has jurisdiction over 13 streets including Renmin East Street, Renmin xiajie street, Renmin middle street, Renmin Shangjie street, Renmin Main Street, Renmin Houjie street, Xinmin Street, Minzhu Main Street, Minzhu xiajie street, Minzhu middle street, Minzhu Shangjie street, Minzhu West Street and Minzhu Houjie street. In 1952, land reform ended. In October, the people's Government of Chengxiang town was established, with four residents under it. In March 1953, the people's Government of Chengxiang town was changed to the people's Government of Chengguan District, belonging to the first district. In November 1986, urban township was merged into Yandao town. in 2006, the administrative division was adjusted, and Qinghua village of Liuhe Township, Tangjia village of Xintian Township and Huangjia village were merged into Yandao town.
