Shenpo town

The town of Hebei is located in Wuyi County, Hengshui City, Jingxian County Province, located in the southeast of Wuyi County, east of Jingxian County, south of da ta Township, West to Wuyi Town, north to Zhao Qiao Town, and 105.31 square kilometers in area, with 37067 registered residence population as of 2018.

In December 1949, it was called shenpo district. In July 1953, shenpo township was built. In June 1958, shenpo commune was established in shenpo township. In January 1984, it was changed into shenpo township; in June of the same year, shenpo township was changed into town. In January 1996, Miao Xiaozhuang township was incorporated. As of June 2020, shenpo town has 61 administrative villages under its jurisdiction.

In 2018, there were 34 industrial enterprises in shenpo Town, including one above scale and four comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

Historical evolution

Shenpo town is located in the southeast of Wuyi County, with Jingxian County in the East, dazitaxiang in the south, Wuyi town in the West and zhaoqiao town in the north, covering an area of 105.31 square kilometers.

History and culture

It got its name because the town government was stationed in shenpo village. Shenpo village was built in the Three Kingdoms period. It is said that after Yuan Shao's death, his widow Shen once opened a teahouse here, named shenpo village. Later, the homonym evolved into shenpo.
