WANGU township is located in the northwest of Mingshan District, Ya'an City, Sichuan Province, at the Northeast foot of Mengding Mountain. It covers an area of 24 square kilometers. It has jurisdiction over 8 villages (Xinmiao, Zhongtan, Shahe, Hongcao, Jiujianlou, Mojia, gaoshanpo, Gaohe) and 50 cooperatives with a population of 9100. The landform is dominated by shallow hills, with an altitude of 800-850 meters. The climate is warm and mild with four distinct seasons. The average annual temperature is 15.5 ℃, the frost free period is 300 days, the annual rainfall is 1500 mm, and the annual sunshine hours are 1200 hours. The soil is red, white and black, which are distributed in strips, and they are very peculiar. 80% of the soil is slightly acidic, deep and fertile. In addition, there are 6.28 million tons of "black mud carbon" resources of 3 square kilometers, which is a unique natural "pure land" in the region. There are 14000 mu of arable land, mainly producing rice, corn and rape; there are more than 2000 mu of tea garden, mainly including laochuancha, mingshanzao (131) and oolong tea; there are 9000 mu of forest land, with a forest coverage rate of 25%; and there are 1500 mu of water network, scattered throughout the township. Among them, "Wanxing canal" of Yuxi River water conservancy project spans the whole territory and is the main water source. Infrastructure is taking shape and improving. Mingwang Road, a 9.6 km long cement road, runs through the whole territory, and 61 tractor roads with a total length of 43 km.
