According to the spirit of the reply of the people's Government of Sichuan Province on approving Xuanhan county to adjust the administrative divisions of some towns and townships (cfzm [2017] No. 8), it is agreed to cancel Hongfeng Township and establish Hongfeng town. On June 12, 2020, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved Dazhou city to adjust the administrative divisions of some towns in Wanyuan City, Xuanhan county and Dazhu County (cfzm [2020] No. 8): Fengming township was canceled and its administrative area was put under the jurisdiction of Hongfeng town.
