Beigao Township

Beigao township is under the jurisdiction of Dachuan District, Dazhou City, Sichuan Province. In 1949, it belonged to Zhao's hometown. In 1952, it set up Beigao Township, changed to Beigao commune in 1958, and resumed Beigao Township in 1984. It governs eight village committees, namely gaomatou, shifomiao, Wulong temple, pond, Lushan, yongbiba, zhoujiaan and longdongba.

Beigao township is located in the south of Dachuan District, 32 kilometers away from the city. It is the South Gate of Dachuan District, with an area of 35.8 square kilometers and a population of 9352 (2017). The country road is connected with national highway 210. G65 connects with Chongqing Expressway (Baotou Maoming Expressway), and every village is connected with highway. The cement road covers 6 villages in the township. Rural households have 100% electricity, 68% tap water, 99% fiber TV and 99% telephone penetration. There is a mobile, Unicom and telecom base station. Beigao township is rich in mineral resources. Township enterprises include coal mining, limestone, grain and oil, hemp spinning, tea processing and other industries. Agricultural production of rice, wheat, corn, and citrus, ramie, pear. The breeding industry is mainly pig, cattle and poultry. the natural landscapes in Xiannushan scenic area include Lingshan fairyland, luhuaping, tiandongzi, Yiwanshui, Ma'anshan, xiaoxiannushan and other scenic spots, which constitute the mountain scenery, cliff scenery, cave scenery and living scenery in the scenic area. The cultural landscape mainly includes Taiping Village, boundary stele of Qing Dynasty and Fairy Statue, which has a long history and is full of legend. In the scenic area, there are many mountains, strange and precipitous, green cypresses, green pines, lush, vast bamboo sea and long fragrance. You can look up at the blue sky, the eagle flying, overlooking the clouds and fog, the peaks looming, and the Tongbo river winding like a jade belt. there are 1 junior middle school, 1 Central Primary School and 7 village primary schools.
