Wanshan town

Wanshan town is a town under the jurisdiction of wusheng County, Guang'an City, Sichuan Province, China. It is located in the west of wusheng County, adjacent to Longnu, Wanlong, baozhensai, Jinniu, Jinguang and other towns. The town covers an area of 23.95 square kilometers and has a population of 16105 (2017). The town people's government is located in Wanshan Town, 342 meters above sea level, 17 kilometers away from the county seat, which is different from Wanshan Township, Guanxian County, Shandong Province.

On December 11, 2019, the people's Government of Sichuan Province approved the adjustment of administrative divisions of some towns in Guang'an City (cfgm [2019] No. 16): Jinguang township was cancelled and its administrative area was put under the jurisdiction of Wanshan Town, and the people's Government of Wanshan town was stationed at No. 22, Wanxing road.

Historical evolution

In the early Qing Dynasty, it was changed into wanshanchang, belonging to deqingli; in the Republic of China, wanshanxiang was set up in abandoned lihechang; in the west of Wanshan, Longling township was set up in 1943; after the founding of the people's Republic of China, it was the residence of Wanshan district (10 townships); in 1958, it was changed into Wanshan commune; in 1983, it was restored to Wanshan township; in April 1985, it was removed to build Wanshan Town, and in 1992, it was abolished At that time, Nonglin township (that is, Longling Township separated from Wanshan in the Republic of China) was merged into Wanshan town; in March 1994, it was set aside from Wanshan town for reconstruction of Nonglin township.
