Guixing town

Guixing town is located in the West Wing of the middle part of Huaying Mountain, in the southeast of Qianfeng District, Guang'an City, bordering Dazhu and Linshui counties in the East, Tianchi town of Huaying City in the south, Qianfeng town of Qianfeng District in the West and Longtan Township of Qianfeng District in the north. The town covers an area of 91.83 square kilometers. It has jurisdiction over 22 administrative villages, 145 villager groups, 1 neighborhood committee and 11271 people (2017).

On March 25, 2019, Guixing town was awarded "the third batch of provincial forest towns in Sichuan Province".

Evolution of organizational system

In the early years of the Tongzhi reign of the Qing Dynasty, the collection was established. It was originally named guihuachang, but later it was named Guixing because of the booming market. It was Guixing Township in 1949, changed to commune in 1958, and restored to township in 1984. In 1992, the town was set up, and Tiancai township was incorporated.

Basic information

Guixing Town, Qianfeng District, Guang'an City, Sichuan Province has convenient transportation and communication. It is 4km away from Guang'an station of Xiang Yu railway and 35km away from Guang'an City. Provincial roads from Guang'an to Linshui, county roads from Qianfeng to Guixing, Guixing to genius and Guixing to laowuzui crisscross. Every village is connected to the highway, and the post and telecommunication are convenient and fast.

The geographical environment in the territory is superior, the town is strip-shaped, with High East, low West and North-South landform, belonging to the alluvial soil property of inner trough. The average altitude is 750 meters, the annual average temperature is 18 ℃, the rainfall is 1100 mm, and the frost free period is 180-210 days.

（1） Mineral resources are unique: the reserves of high-quality coal with calorific value of more than 5000 kcal are 23.6 million tons, the high-grade limestone with calcium content of more than 50% is 344 million tons, the daily inflow of mineral water is more than 17000 tons, and there are more than 12 kinds of quartz sand, shale, dolomite, calcite, gypsum, copper, potassium and sulfur minerals.

（2） Rich in forest resources: the forest coverage rate is 79.26%, and the greening rate is 99.58%. Rich in white bamboo, pine, fir, cypress and other forest products.

（3） Rich tourism resources: the famous "Yinxiao cave" in Dongping village, the thrilling "qijianwu" in Lianfeng village, and the memorial sites of "Hongyan" hometown, such as Xiangjia village, Tianxing village, Xinyi village, niucang cave, guaizao cave, Bailong cave, have broad prospects for tourism development.

Characteristic industries and products

（1） Agriculture: it mainly produces rice, wheat, corn, sweet potato, rape seed, potato, tea, peanut and medicinal materials.

（2） Forestry: rich in white bamboo, pine, fir, cypress.

（3） Animal husbandry: 30 livestock and poultry breeding bases have been established, with 16550 live pigs, 61700 goats, 500 beef cattle and 200000 small poultry.

（4） Building materials and energy: annual output of 5.4 million tons of limestone, 190000 tons of Portland cement and 210000 tons of raw coal.
