Xuzhou District of Yibin City, Sichuan Province governs the town, which is only 12 kilometers away from the urban area of Yibin City. It also grows high-quality fruits, mulberry, medicinal materials, bamboo, etc., with a fruit forest of more than 10000 mu. On July 23, 2018, CFH [2018] No. 119: Yibin Municipal People's Government: your request for instructions on the withdrawal of Yibin County into districts and the adjustment of some administrative divisions of Cuiping District (YFH [2017] No. 2) was received. With the approval of the State Council, Yibin County was abolished and Xuzhou District of Yibin City was established. The former Yibin County (excluding kongtan Town, Wangchang Town, Baihua Town, Yongxing Town and Shuangyi town) and the administrative areas of Nan'an street, Zhaochang street and Nanguang town of Cuiping District were the administrative areas of Xuzhou District. Qixingshan Forest Park and Hongyan mountain in the town have more than ten thousand mu of ecological forest, with luxuriant forest vegetation, numerous flowing springs and waterfalls, and the natural community of Alsophila spinulosa, the "living fossil" of dinosaur era. It is a tourist and leisure resort. Yichang tourist road runs through five administrative villages in the town.
