Guangji Township

Guangji township is a township level administrative unit under the jurisdiction of Dongpo District, Meishan City, Sichuan Province. It is located at the western edge of the hometown of Sansu, bordering on Danling and Pujiang counties, 27 kilometers east of the county seat. It is the hometown of navel orange and one of hybrid rice seed production bases in China. There are beautiful mountains and rivers in the territory, including the Giant Buddha and cliff group sculptures carved in Kaiyuan period of Tang Dynasty and the "lian'ao mountain" splashed by Su Dongpo in Song Dynasty.

Provincial Highway 106 (new and old) runs from east to west with convenient transportation. The township covers an area of 65.59 square kilometers, with 16000 mu of forest, 28500 mu of high-quality orchards and a total population of 17986 (2017).

In December 2019, the administrative divisions of some townships in Dongpo District of Meishan were adjusted. Guangji township was abolished and its administrative area was put under the jurisdiction of Sansu Town, where the people's government was stationed at No. 5, Fanrong street.
