Juguang town

Old town name. See Yongguang town for details. Juguang township is located in the south of Yilong County, Nanchong City, Sichuan Province, 74 kilometers away from the county.

It borders Jiulong Township in Yilong in the East, Wenxing town in Yilong in the west, Lushui town and Sanxing town in Yingshan in the south, and Yongguang Township in Yilong in the north.

It covers an area of 18.49 square kilometers. Agricultural production of rice, wheat, corn, and rapeseed, tobacco. Breeding pigs, silkworms, poultry, etc.

Historical evolution

Yilong County governs the township. Xiangshui township was built in 1952, merged into Yongxing Township in 1955, rebuilt in 1962, renamed Juguang Township in 1980, merged into Yongguang Township in 1992, and restored in 1994. In 2019, Yongguang Township and Juguang township will be abolished and Yongguang town will be established. The administrative area of Yongguang town will be the former Yongguang Township and the former Juguang township. The people's Government of Yongguang town will be stationed at No. 79 Wenhua Road.
