Jidu Township
Jidu township is under the jurisdiction of Peng'an county. Jidu township was established in 1952. Located in the southeast of the county, 40 kilometers away from the county. It covers an area of 16.87 square kilometers. National Highway 318 runs across the country.
Evolution of organizational system
Jidu Township People's commune was established on March 5, 1961. It belongs to Xinglong district and has nine villages. In October 1978, jiancaogou village of Sanhe Township joined Jidu Township, and then there were only 10 villages. In August 1992, 14 villages in Haitian Township and 10, 11, 12, 13 villages in Sanhe Township were merged into Jidu Township, 28 villages in total, covering 32 square kilometers. After the restoration of Jidu Township in August 1994, there were 10 villages and 74 communities, covering an area of 14 square kilometers.

It has jurisdiction over 10 village committees in Ma'anshan, xiaoshengou, shishanbao, Tuqiao, yanglvtan, maoheshan, daijiazhai, Wuyazui, tudiba and jiancaogou. (data of the fifth census) the total population is 10239 (2017).

Rich in water resources, most of the township belongs to artesian irrigation. Township run enterprises have grain processing plants. Agricultural production of rice, wheat, corn, rapeseed, specialty citrus. Breeding silkworms and pigs. Jidu township is an agricultural township mainly engaged in grain, oil, fruit and breeding, and one of the fruit base townships mainly engaged in grain and fruit production. Guanggan and live pigs are regarded as long-term pillar industries of the township. There are 6915 mu of cultivated land, 932 mu of dry land and 5983 mu of paddy field. Through the construction of 15 kilometers of supporting canals in the 1980s and 1990s, the cultivated land in the township can achieve the goal of ensuring the income from drought and flood. There are 4290 mu of non cultivated land and 4000 mu of forest in non cultivated land, including 3780 mu of natural forest and firewood forest. Most of the natural forest are Berlin, pine and bamboo forest, and 220 mu of economic forest, mainly citrus developed in 1999.
