Macro township is 40 kilometers away from the county. It is adjacent to Dawang and Xingsheng in the East, Yongqing and Sanguan in the south, Shiquan Township and Daqiao town in the west, Xiongshi Township and Wannian town in the north. The township covers an area of 32.7 square kilometers, with 13208 mu of arable land, 20 villages and 149 villager groups. It belongs to subtropical monsoon climate with four distinct seasons and typical hilly landform.

Macro township is a hilly area with dense forest, beautiful scenery and clear water. The famous mountains include Yidong mountain, Dacheng mountain, Yueping mountain, Yutai mountain and gaogua mountain. Qingshanyuan temple, an ancient temple in the township, was approved as the elderly association by Nanbu County in November 2003, with a construction area of 700 square meters.
