Yuxi Township

Old town name. See Yuxi town for details. Yuxi township is under the jurisdiction of Shunqing District, Nanchong City, Sichuan Province.

Evolution of organizational system

In 1950, home town source Township, Nanchong county.

In 1984, it was renamed Yuxi Township, belonging to Nanchong county.

In 1992, it was incorporated into Jiangling town of Nanchong county (now Gaoping District),

In 1994, Yuxi township was restored to Shunqing district.

In 2019, Fengshan Township and Yuxi township will be abolished and Yuxi town will be established. The administrative area of Yuxi town will be the former Fengshan Township and Yuxi Township, and the people's Government of Yuxi town will be located at No.1 Government Street.

Located in the east of the District, 25 kilometers away from the city. It covers an area of 19.89 square kilometers and has a population of 10325 (2017). It has jurisdiction over seven village committees, namely Tiebei, maoerxi, yuxiqiao, Wujia, zufangkou, jifengsi and tonggugou.

Township run enterprises have shipping industry and machine brick, cement prefabrication, wine, grain and oil processing plants. Agricultural production of rice, corn, sweet potato, peanut, rapeseed, and tobacco, citrus. Silkworm and pig are the main breeding industries.
