Dibu township is under the jurisdiction of Muchuan County, Leshan City, Sichuan Province. The township is a shallow hilly valley with low mountains. The altitude is 439 meters. The land area of the township is 70.24 square kilometers. It has jurisdiction over 5 villages, 65 villager groups and 1 neighborhood committee.

Regional overview

By the end of 2003, the main agricultural products were rice, corn, sweet potato, pigs and poultry. There are 1192 hectares of forest land, including 627 hectares of bamboo forest. There are 80000 cubic meters of living trees and 4.89 million bamboo trees. A sound paper mill with an annual production capacity of 6000 tons of machine-made paper is located in China.

Historical evolution

In September 1992, the township system was adjusted, and Dibu township was still set up, and Ganjian township was incorporated into the township. In October 1995, the organizational system of some villages and towns was adjusted, and the four villages of Ganjian District, namely Maliu, longtuo, Shuiyue and Wuxing, were separated out to form Ganjian township. Dibao township is located in the southeast of the county. The altitude is 350-1000m.

social undertakings

In July 2008, the township made use of the slack season to widely carry out the activities of "farmers' Education Month" with the main contents of publicizing the spirit of the 16th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, rural policies and regulations, and rural practical technology. In view of the lack of market economy knowledge, weak legal awareness and lack of communication between cadres and the masses in Dibu Township, the township carried out a two-month "farmer education month" activity. In the past, the villagers of ten communities in Wutong village had lagged behind in paying taxes. Yang Fulun, the village branch secretary, organized an education team to go deep into the community, held a mass mobilization meeting to learn and publicize the tax policy. The villagers never understood the support, and their enthusiasm for paying taxes was high. All 28 villagers in the community completed the 2008 agricultural tax by the end of June.

In November 2008, Ningbo University sent the 150000 yuan fund to longtuo primary school, which was warmly welcomed by teachers and students. Ningbo University will continue to donate computers, books and other equipment and facilities to the University.
