Longtuo Township
Longtuo township is located in the mountainous area 20 km west of Jiajiang County, Leshan City, Sichuan Province. It is a pure agricultural township with half mountains and half hills. It was newly built in 1999 with an area of 17.16 square kilometers and an altitude of 520 meters. The township governs 7 villages and 56 agricultural cooperatives.
There are 5292 people in the township (2017), with a GDP of 75.35 million yuan and a per capita net income of 12782 yuan.
General situation
Longtuo township of Jiajiang County is located 30 kilometers west of Jiajiang County. It is a typical pure agricultural township in mountainous area, covering an area of 17.16 square kilometers. It has seven administrative villages: longtuo village, Xiuwen village, Zhaogou village, Zhangshan village, Sanhe Village, Fenshui village, Liancun village, and 56 agricultural communities. There are 5292 people in the township (2017). Longtuo township is a low mountain tea area, far away from the main traffic road, with a good ecological environment and a forest coverage rate of 64%. It is a suitable area for tea tree growth. It has initially formed a tea industry demonstration belt spanning Xiuwen, longtuo, Zhangshan, Sanhe and Lianxiang from Xiuwen to Lianxiang to Emei Puxing, and has been awarded "top ten famous green tea townships in Sichuan Province". In 2010, the Gaoshan organic tea of Longyuan tea cooperative of longtuo Township passed the certification of national organic tea production base. In recent years, it has successively won the honorary titles of provincial health market town, Provincial Ecological Town, provincial demonstration town of comprehensive urban and rural environmental management and beautiful environment, and provincial new rural archives management demonstration unit.
Industrial economy
In 2002, the township party committee and government established a development plan focusing on the planting industry, with tea as the main planting industry, and won the honor of top ten famous green tea townships in Sichuan Province. The fragrance of tea in longtuo village is everywhere. Almost every family has tea trees, everyone can pick tea, more than 90% of the villagers rely on "tea" to eat. the villagers used to rely on the weather for food. When the weather was dry, they could only make a living, but the tea still grew well and the harvest was good. This accidental discovery made the township leaders feel that there is a lot to do. Experts were specially invited to test the land. The results showed that more than 90% of the land in longtuo township was suitable for tea planting. The results also showed that the special geographical conditions of longtuo Township were the best environment for the development of Alpine Yunwu Tea. from 2003 to 2008, the number of lush tea covered most of the land in longtuo Township, and the life of farmers gradually improved. However, due to the low price of Sichuan tea market and low economic benefits, the economy of the whole village still hovered in a "self-sufficiency" situation, which hindered the enthusiasm of villagers to further expand the scale of tea planting. At the same time, we should strengthen the management of tea cultivation technology, strictly control pesticide residues, vigorously improve the quality of tea and improve the market competitiveness. Through efforts, longtuo tea production has made great progress in scale and quality. It has become a famous tea town of ten thousand mu, a demonstration base for tea export in Sichuan Province, and a demonstration base for agricultural standardization in Sichuan Province. In 2006, it was also rated as one of the top ten famous green tea townships in Sichuan Province. In 2016, the GDP of the township was 75.35 million yuan, an increase of 10% over the previous year. The per capita net income of farmers reached 12782 yuan. The tea planting area of the township is 18750 mu, the per capita tea garden of the township is 3.3 mu, the total output value of tea is 75 million yuan, accounting for 70% of the income source of farmers; the intercropping area of "tea + plum" is more than 4000 mu, the output in the high-yield period will reach 4 million jin, and the output value will reach 12 million yuan. The characteristic interplanting industrial base based on Xiuwen, Lianxiang and other villages has been initially built.

In 2006, a total of 32 new garbage pools were built, and 4 ditches were cleared, up to 5 km. 12 new cleaners will be added to carry out daily cleaning and maintenance of rural roads. It has formed a good atmosphere in which the government takes the lead and the villagers consciously maintain the sanitary environment. By the end of 2008, there was a school (Sanxing hope primary school in longtuo township) and a hospital (health center in longtuo township).
