Fangshui town

Fangshui town is located in the southernmost part of Jiangyou City, which is a triangle area where Fucheng, Anxian and Jiangyou cities (counties and districts) meet. It borders Longmen town of Mianyang City in the southeast, Huangtu town of Anxian County in the southwest, Jiuling town in the northeast and Bayi Town in the northwest, 22km away from Jiangyou City. With a total area of 48.06 square kilometers, the town has 9 administrative villages, 1 community, 74 villager groups and 13367 people (2017).

On December 25, 2019, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved the adjustment of administrative divisions of some towns and townships in Mianyang City (cfzm [2019] No. 27): Bayi Town was canceled and its administrative area was put under the jurisdiction of Fangshui Town, and Fangshui Town People's government was stationed at No. 2 Yongzhen Road.

Fangshui town is a town established in Jiangyou City, Mianyang City, Sichuan Province by "removing villages to establish towns". According to the requirements of the official reply, Fangshui township was abolished and Fangshui town was set up. After the township was removed, the administrative region remained unchanged.

Fangshui town is located at the junction of Jiangyou City, Fucheng District and Anxian county. It is 15km away from Mianyang City, 4km away from Fucheng District and 6km away from Anxian county. It is the main radiation area for the development of Mianyang Science and technology city.

With an area of 48.06 square kilometers, Fangshui town governs nine administrative villages (guantian, Guangyi, Baiyu, gaobao, Baota, Baozhu, Yuanmen, Gushu, Xilin) and one community (Yong Town), with a total population of 13367 (2017).

Mianjiang Expressway passes by the town, Xinta Jiulong highway runs through the whole town, Jiufang, Bafang, Huafang and Xiangqing highways interweave with each other, Fangshui river flows along the town, and the whole town has formed a traffic network extending in all directions.

Baiyu loquat is well-known both in Sichuan and abroad. Xilin strawberry attracts people from all walks of life to stop for sightseeing. Baihua peach and grape cultivation have developed on a large scale. Modern agricultural industrialization leading enterprises such as Guocheng organic farm, Qinglang farm and Baiyu heitianlong company are booming. In 2016, the total rural economic income of the town was 285 million yuan, the per capita net income of farmers was 15812 yuan, and the total financial income was 3.4 million yuan.
