Shuanglexiang

In the early years of the Republic of China, it was under the jurisdiction of Nanlu Shihuo Township, Jingfu Township in 1940, and Chengu Township in 1951. Shuangle is under the jurisdiction of Chen Guxiang. In November 1956, Shuangle township was set up alone, belonging to Anju district. Shuangle commune was established in 1958, and it was rebuilt as Shuangle Township in 1984. In 1992, the district was withdrawn and the township was built into a town, which was merged into Jingfu town to set up Shuangle office. In December 1995, Shuangle township was restored. Shuangle township is located 52 kilometers south of Santai city. The township is adjacent to Chengu in the East, Jingfu in the west, Jinjia town in Shehong County in the north and Zihe town in the south. The main and branch canals of Luban reservoir are controlled to irrigate the whole area. The total area of the township is 21.45 square kilometers. The township governs 9 administrative villages and 1 town residents committee. The total population of the township is 8246 (2017).

In December 2019, with the approval of Mianyang Municipal People's government, Shuangle township was abolished and its administrative area was put under the jurisdiction of Jingfu Town, which is located at No. 2, government street.

Shuangle township is located in the southern border of Santai County, 52 kilometers away from the county. The township connects Chengu town of Shehong County in the East, Jingfu town in the west, Jinjia town of Shehong County in the north and Zihe town in the south. Shuangle Township, formerly known as Yilong Township, is located in lijialou, commonly known as nun temple. Because nuns practice too hard, it is renamed Shuangle. in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China, Santai County set up No.4 road 28 Township, Shuangle was under the jurisdiction of South Road Shihuo township (in jingfuyuan, now Jingfu town). In the 14th year of the Republic of China, Jingfu group A was set up; in the 24th year of the Republic of China, Jingfu joint protection was set up, and Shuangle belonged to both groups. In 1940, the "new county system" was carried out, and the joint guarantee system was changed into a township. Shuangle belonged to Jingfu township. In 1951, Jingfu township was still established, and Chengu township was newly established. In 1952, Yilong township was established and stationed in Yilong field. Yilong township was abolished in March 1956, and mingshuangle township was restored at the end of the same year. In 1958, Shuangle people's commune was established. In 1984, it was changed into Shuangle Township, belonging to Xiangyang District. In 1992, Shuangle township was merged into Jingfu town. In December 1995, Shuangle township was restored. in December 2019, Shuangle township will be merged into Jingfu town.

Shuangle aqueduct

Beside the highway in Shuangle Town, Santai County, there is a high and conspicuous building. It is not a bridge or a railway, but a diversion aqueduct. This aqueduct diverts water from Dujiangyan reservoir hundreds of kilometers away to Shehong. There are three such aqueducts along the way, including one in guanqiaochang town and one in youfangya. The largest one is the aqueduct in Shuangle town. According to the staff of aqueduct management department, numerous aqueducts have been built in Dujiangyan water conservancy project, among which the longest one is Shuangle aqueduct, which is also the longest aqueduct in our city. It has been more than 30 years since it was built. To build channels from Luban reservoir, we have to cross mountains and mountains along the way, and a large number of aqueducts will be built. Therefore, the designers at that time mined a large number of stones to build aqueducts. The reporter learned from the inscriptions on the aqueduct that Shuangle aqueduct is the largest building on the Lulian main canal of the seventh phase project of Renmin canal, with a total length of 450 meters and a height of 61 meters. The main arch ring has a net span of 30 meters, which is divided into upper and lower floors. The lower four spans are hollow stone arches with a width of 10 meters. The aqueduct started construction in July 1977 and was completed in the winter of 1980. After the aqueduct was completed, 200000 mu of farmland in Santai and Shehong, which could only grow sweet potato and corn, was soon able to grow rice, which made the people in the income area enjoy the happiness of plenty of food and clothing. Although the aqueduct has been used for 30 years, there has never been any problem. Management staff said that the aqueduct construction quality is very high, the "5.12" earthquake only caused a very slight leakage, but did not affect the water, and later repaired like a new one.
